Rockin' Christmas party!

Last weekend we had a super fun, really crazy, rockin' Christmas party. Shawn and I LOVE Christmas parties and one thing that we have wanted for so long was to have enough space to host a big party to celebrate the season! Well, now that we have been in our new house for just over a year, we thought this Christmas was the best time to start that tradition!!! So, we invited 15 couples and were blown away that EVERYBODY except one couple could come!! I never had that good of response rate for an invitation...EVER! We were so pumped:) We planned to do a classic White Elephant gift exchange and had each couple bring two gifts. Shawn had all the guys bring 2 six packs of beer to do a beer exchange (all the beer went into a cooler and all the guys went home with 12 different beers...pretty cool!). I, of course, spent all week preparing the menu and shopping for all the food that I wanted to have. We had so much fun and I think everyone there had a great time too!! The gift exchange just about gave me stomach cramps from laughing so hard! We had people here at our house until 1:00am! can't WAIT to do it again next year!!
